Virtual Dance Discovery Club - November 4, 6:30 PM
Join SCDP and the NC Dance Festival as we delve into dance in this virtual program – like a book club, but for dance. Participants will watch and discuss short dance works by Sarah Council Dance Projects, finding new ways to appreciate and explore the world of dance and building new connections with a wider community of dance lovers and dance professionals. Culture Blocks: Dancing the Poem: a FREE VIRTUAL Collaborative Movement and Poetry Writing Workshop
Dancing the Poem is an online collaborative movement and poetry writing workshop that will engage participants in an exploration of the poetic form through movement. Directed by dance educator and choreographer, Sarah Council, participants will experience both poetry and dance as powerful modes of expression that utilize imagery, emotion, and rhythm. All levels of experience and ability welcome!
